Information about ILILE
The Institute for Library and Information Literacy Education (ILILE) is federally funded through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the U.S. Department of Education. ILILE was established to provide local, regional and national leadership in fostering successful collaboration among K-12 teachers and library media specialists who are concerned with advancing library and information literacy in the PK-12 school curriculum.
Grant partners at Kent State University include the College and Graduate School of Education, Health, and Human Services; Libraries and Media Services; and the School of Library and Information Science. Co-directors of ILILE are Dr. Carolyn S. Brodie and Mary H. Tipton. ILILE Executive Board members include Dr. Greg Byerly, Dr. David Dalton, Mary Lee Jensen and Dr. Barbara Schloman. An ILILE Advisory Board of Ohio education leaders works closely with ILILE. More information about ILILE initiatives can be found at http://www.ilile.org.
